| Metal Flake is the "sparkly" finish found on most bass boats today. Small pieces of color-coated Mylar are blended into a clear gel-coat base and sprayed into the mold. When the finish is exposed to light, these tiny mirror-like flakes refract, causing a sparkle affect. There are a multitude of colors offered by today's manufacturers, many of which are custom blends. Although we have hundreds of colors on hand, dating back to the 1970s, new colors or blends appear every year. Being a warranty repair center for Ranger Bass Boats, Triton, Tracker Marine and many other manufacturers, we are better able to stock the latest color choices. This allows us to match and custom blend the color needed to give you the best repair possible, considering discoloration and fade. |
